Once rumored to be making a new instant messaging platform that is separate from Google Hangouts and Google, now Google's instant messaging application leaks that circulated on the internet. Apparently, this application becomes mandatory application of Android 5.0 Lollipop.
In addition to circulating the leaked screenshots, as quoted KompasTekno from Android Authority (10/20/2014), the APK file of the application is also widely circulated on the internet. APK is running normally when installed on Android 4.4 KitKat.
Google Messenger application is seen to have a minimalist look and follow the rules of Materials Design like other applications on the Android platform Lollipop.
Leaked screenshots show the circulating current Google Messenger has just been installed, it looks clean white page. When the contact began to be added, all conversations will appear on the page.
And like other instant messaging applications, contacts photos will also be displayed with a colored circle with the first letters of the contact name information.
To add a contact, users can simply press the "+" button located at the bottom right corner of the yellow. The application seems also supports group messaging or conversation groups.
From the contact list, the user can also access the phone, send SMS messages, and send attachments, and even take pictures directly within the application. If traced further, all these features are really similar to the instant messaging application WhatsApp is now owned by Facebook.
